Our First Harvest of the Year

Yesterday Project PLASE intern, Emily, and AmeriCorps*VISTA, Andrea, battled the sun and the slugs to harvest our first veggies of the season from Garden Harvest--a bushel of looseleaf lettuce! We had so much that all three of our transitional shelters (62 people total) will be able to make fresh salads for the next week. Next up: collard greens!
